How do you create the perfect All Inclusive Honeymoon Vacation? Here are what some of our agents had to say:

1. Get the timing right – beat the crowd: “As of 2024 Most U.S. couples are married in October followed by September and June. Combine that with the fact that over the last 14 years, most couples (Honeymoon or not) book 4-6 months in advance of their departure date. Our agents commonly hear our clients say that they wish they had booked earlier.” – Matt G.
2. What do you want to do? “Choose 2 things that each partner wants out of the Honeymoon and 2 things they don’t want. For example, no kids at the resort, visit the chocolate factory, go snorkeling in the Grenadines, eat the local food, enjoy local music or mostly play on the beach, and just chill. Some want no plans to allow for serendipity. That’s nice but it may limit what you can do given that many excursions will sell out. Review local and resort activities and excursions in advance. And – be sure to tell us what you see yourself doing so we can match your goals with the right resort vibe.” – Nicole W.
3. Select a Destination: “Think about what it takes to get there in terms of both hours and expense. Some destinations cost more to fly to regardless of distance. Some resorts are 10 minutes from the airport, others are not. Are you okay with a two-hour winding transfer car ride, (I wasn’t) if not, but set on the resort destination, then maybe you would be better off with a helicopter or a ferry ride transfer? 4. Decide when to go: “Right after the wedding or…when the season is perfect? Getting married in late October in Greece might be romantic, but a honeymoon there in the first of November might be wet and chilly. The best time to visit Greece is outside the summer peaks, during Spring, (April to June) and early fall (September and October), temperatures are warm and many destinations are still open, but still relatively quiet. November to February tends to be colder. City attractions remain open and are pleasantly quiet. Did you know Greece has some all-inclusive Honeymoon resorts? 5. Select the right all-inclusive Honeymoon resort: “Not all resorts are the same. Even with Sandals I prefer to talk with my clients on the phone at least once to really understand who they are and what they would like. On St. Lucia alone there are 3 resorts that I book often, one has rooms with stunning views over the ocean and has more of an old-style Caribbean feel. Another costs less and is more of a boutique style resort on a very picturesque small bay that is perfect for someone who wants a laid-back experience. My favorite is a larger, more active all-inclusive honeymoon resort that is set on Rodney Bay, a beautiful setting. Ask me how to stay at one and visit all three. 6. Select how long you want to be on your Honeymoon. “The average honeymoon falls in the 7-10 day category. Shorter honeymoons are 5-7 days, and longer than 10-day honeymoon vacations often include multiple island hops. For those who like to experience multiple islands we recommend checking out the flight routes prior to booking your resort stays. Some Caribbean island flights will route you back to Miami before getting you to your second island destination. We can help you avoid this.” – Matt G.
7. Think about the food – it might make or break your trip. “Foodie or not, it is important to have a nice selection of restaurants serving high quality dishes that are aimed to please. The best all-inclusive honeymoon resorts often have only 1-2 buffet style restaurants and up to a dozen or more indoor and outdoor eateries to choose from.” – Nicole W.
8. Get the right room: “Honeymoon couples can spend up between 50-60% of their time in or at their rooms, especially if it is a special room that has a beautiful ocean view, private pool, is a swim up or overwater bungalow. That said, the best all-inclusive Honeymoon Resorts have plenty to do and are in beautiful settings making even the most economical room stay quite enjoyable.” – Matt G.
