The VG is a stand-alone villa at Sandals Saint Vincent, 889 square feet with a combined bedroom and living area that feels spacious, with a separate pantry area with its own entrance so your butlers can restock without disturbing you. The bed faces sliding glass doors that open to a private patio with a tranquility soaking tub for two and a round daybed, and there’s a second soaking tub in the spa bathroom. Every stay includes **Butler Elite** service with **24-hour room service** and all the luxury inclusions Sandals is known for. These villas sit in four different areas of the resort, so we can request our clients be near the beach, near the main restaurants, or tucked away by the river depending on what kind of vibe they’re looking for.

Tell us about the VG villa itself.
Susie C: These are stand-alone villas, 889 square feet, so very roomy. When you walk in, the bedroom and living area are combined, but there’s plenty of room, it doesn’t feel squished at all. The bed faces sliding glass doors that look out into the garden, and there’s a separate couch, a couple of chairs, and tables, so it’s like a living room and bedroom in one. There’s also a little kitchen area with a table, a mini fridge stocked with water, juices, soda, wine, and champagne, and a sink, and it’s handy because the butlers can come in through a separate door to bring snacks or restock while you’re out in the main area and you don’t even realize they’re there. The patio has a Tranquility soaking tub for two, a table and chairs, and a round daybed where we’d sit with a drink and watch the sunset. There’s also a second soaking tub in the bathroom, so you have two options, and you can close the curtains on the patio to make it private.
Where on the resort is the villa, and can you pick?
Susie C: These villas are in four different areas of the resort, so there are a lot of options. I like to ask my clients what they prefer, closer to the beach, closer to the restaurants in the main area, or the quietest, most private spot, there’s even one over by the river that feels more secluded at the edge of the property. Mine was closest to the beach, so we walked out our door, around the corner, and a few steps down to the sand, and we even had a tiny glimpse of the ocean. We were close to Butch’s, the Parisol beach club, and the salad-and-pizza spot we loved for lunch. Requests aren’t guaranteed, but I book a lot of Sandals so they’re good about honoring them if you book with me.
Susie C: A lot of flights come through Miami, and once you land at St. Vincent the airport is very small, so you’re through customs and immigration really quickly. From there it’s about a 45 to 60 minute shuttle, and it is a little curvy, I get motion sick so I wore a patch and asked to sit up front and I was fine. One nice thing about St. Vincent is it’s a little outside the hurricane belt, so it’s popular for travel during hurricane season, June through November, though there are never guarantees with Mother Nature, but the risk is lower than some other Caribbean islands. Because the VG is a butler suite, you can request a complimentary boat transfer, a water taxi called the Jilly Bean, about 20 to 25 minutes down the coast with a little tour of the island, weather permitting, and I can set that up ahead of time for you if you book with me. Whether you come by boat or shuttle, someone meets you, gives you a cold towel and a drink, and your butlers walk you to the villa.
Susie C: There’s a lot. During the day you can do all kinds of land and water sports, pickleball, tennis, chess, volleyball, bocce ball, and on the water there’s snorkeling included with the boat going out several times a day, a glass bottom boat, Hobie Cats you can sail yourself or with a guide, kayaks, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, water skiing, and Snuba. Scuba is included if you’re PADI certified, or you can take an intro class for a fee. At night there’s entertainment every night, theme nights and weekly events like the Carnival Celebration, the Island Vibes Plaza Party, and Movies Under the Stars, we like to walk after dinner and see what’s going on. Off the resort, there are 32 Grenadine islands, and we took a catamaran to Bequia, sat up top watching the birds and water, walked the little shops, then snorkeled at Princess Margaret Beach and spent time with a local vendor who told us about the island. I can set up excursions before you go, I can tell you about them and help you get them set up.
Susie C: The resort has its own cove beach. There’s an active volcano on the island, so some of the sand is black, but Sandals brought in white sand, so it’s a beautiful sandy beach with plenty of chairs and palm trees for shade, I’ve never had clients complain about finding a chair. One honest thing to plan around though, this is a public beach, and about one day a week a cruise excursion comes to a portion of it. Security keeps those folks separate, and if it were ever bothersome I’d just say make it a pool day, an excursion day, or take a boat out. When we were there it wasn’t an issue at all.
Susie C: This villa runs about $1,675 to $2,190 per night for two, with most dates between roughly $1,730 and $1,835. There’s also a very similar one-bedroom villa with a separate bedroom, a little smaller in square footage but with that separation between the sleeping and living areas, which a lot of my clients prefer if one of you gets up early and the other stays up late, and it runs only about $50 per person more a night. Tell me your dates and I’ll price the options and find the best-priced ones for you.
Susie C: I love this resort. It sits on 50 acres in a valley with big mountain peaks around it, and in the morning there are clouds over the mountains, it really feels like Hawaii. It’s got a cove beach, four freshwater pools plus two whirlpools, and a beautiful infinity pool right off the beach where people love to go because the sunset from the pool edge is spectacular. It’s also very easy to get around, I was actually in a wheelchair before hip surgery when I was there and could go anywhere, it’s a fairly flat resort, so people with mobility needs do well here. Honestly there wasn’t anything I didn’t like, except that my colleague had a private pool and I didn’t haha! It’s a wonderful, romantic spot, especially for honeymoons and anniversaries, and it’s close to the Overwater Chapel for weddings.
Who is the VG best for?
Susie C: It’s very popular with honeymooners, but really just about anyone. If you love having a Tranquility soaking tub, we take advantage of ours every evening, back from the beach around four, butlers bring coconut shrimp and shrimp cocktail and chilled champagne, and I sit in the tub and cool off on the patio. The one thing to keep in mind is this is a garden-view villa, not beachfront, so if you have your heart set on an ocean view I’d point you to a different category, but for a private stand-alone villa with butler service, it’s hard to beat.
Susie C: I’d be happy to help you pick the villa and location, set up your water-taxi transfer and excursions, and find the best-priced dates for your trip. Just give me a call!
